About

The Department of Chemical Engineering has fully-funded scholarships available for outstanding PhD applicants to start in 2017. Applications are open throughout the year.

 

The standard period of the scholarship is 42 months. The scholarships are open to all applicants regardless of their fee status, and cover both tuition fees and an annual tax-free contribution to

maintenance costs of £16,296.

 

The Department is one of the world’s leading institutions in both teaching and research of chemical engineering. It has been ranked top in Chemical Engineering in all of the UK Research Assessment Exercises,

and covers a broad spectrum of science and engineering relevant to all areas of chemical engineering. Please visit our research website to find out more.

 

We are seeking outstanding researchers to join the Department. Applicants are expected to have obtained (or be heading for) a First Class Honours degree at Master’s level (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, another branch of engineering or a related science.

    with the following information: Name, College ID and date of application. Please include “PhD Scholarships in Chemical Engineering” in the subject title.

 

The Scholarship selection panel will meet in January/February 2017 to consider applications received by the 10 December 2016.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview shortly after this panel meeting.
