Faculty of Geology and Geography of the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski” announces

COMPETITION

for the selection of post-doctoral candidates, to be funded in 2022-2023 under the Ministry of Education and Science program "Young Scientists and Postdoctoral Candidates-2" under the following terms: researcher under a current employment relationship with Sofia University, who has obtained a PhD degree after 01.01.2018, may be appointed as researcher R2 (postdoctoral) of a fixed-term contract (4 hours a day) with a gross monthly remuneration of 550 BG levs for the implementation of specific research project(s) described in a project proposal after a successful competition.

• Project proposal at a high scientific level on one of the following priority areas for the development of the Faculty of Geology and Geography: Geospatial Studies; Climate Change and Risk Processes; Applied Geography; Regional Tourism Studies; Geology
• Curriculum vitae and supporting documents proving the professional qualities of the candidate at his/her discretion
• Doctoral Degree diploma.
• Declaration to avoid double funding
• Declaration of adherence to the rules of the NSProgram "Young Scientists and Postdoctoral Candidates-2"

Stages of competition:

1. Review of candidates' documents and admission to the eligibility stage
2. Assessment of candidates according to Application documents
3. Ranking of candidates
4. Notification of approved candidates – after 20/09/2022
5. Appointment of approved researchers to an employment contract with Sofia University for carrying out the activities of the program
