Offer Description
The position is related to a “Líneas Estratégicas” project (Ref. PLEC2022-009341), Spanish grant MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and with the support of European Union’s NextGenerationEU/PRTR.
The postdoc will oversee the analysis of calcium imaging recordings acquired by the members of the consortium and using tools in the context of network theory provided by the research group. He/she will also support the development of numerical simulations. Altogether, the consortium aims at developing, in vitro and in silico, neuronal networks that mimic the brain’s architecture and dynamics, to frame an experimental and numerical backbone for the understanding and treatment of neurological disorders.
Gross salary per year: 32.376,00 €

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree and/or master in a scientific discipline related to neuroscience or complex systems. The PhD project or other research topics should also be related to neuroscience or complex systems.
The candidate should have a multidisciplinary background, with knowledge in data analysis and numerical simulations applied to neuroscience or complex systems. Experience in both experimental and computational neuroscience would be ideal.
He/she should be familiar with Matlab, Python, or other programming platforms.
A good/excellent level of English is required for fluent communication within the consortium.
Recommendation letters of the PhD supervisor or collaborators may be requested during the selection process.

Additional Information
Candidates will be selected according to academic and scientific merits or appropriateness of their background to the project.
The short list of candidates will be interviewed online and will give a short seminar about his/her past research projects.
Duration of the contract of employment: 2,5 years, maximum until 01/11/2025.
The candidate proposed for hiring must accept the job offer within5 working daysfrom the date of notification of the selection.
