Early-Stage Researcher

We are looking for talented, driven, and highly motivated early career researchers educated in bioengineering, cell culture or a related discipline. Applicants should possess scientific curiosity, a strong work ethic and ability to engage in teamwork in an interdisciplinary environment.

• The position is funded under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No. 860960, until 31^st October 2024. The level of stipend/salary after that date will be discussed at interview.
• The successful candidate will receive an attractive salary in accordance with the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) regulations for early-stage researchers. • They will be participants in an international training network and will benefit from an extensive training program in research and transferable skills.

The following mandatory criteria apply:

• H2020 MSCA Mobility Rule: Candidates must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the host organisation for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the recruitment date. Compulsory national service, short stays such as holidays, and time spent as part of a procedure for obtaining refugee status are not taken into account.
• H2020 MSCA eligibility criteria: Early-Stage Researchers (ESRs) must, at the date of recruitment by the host organisation, be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research careers, have not been awarded a doctoral degree
• Candidates must have excellent proficiency in written and spoken English (at least level B2) and fulfil the specific University recruitment criteria.
• Candidates can be of any nationality but need to demonstrate mobility in terms of moving from one country to another when taking up their appointment.

Selection process

• Applicants will be shortlisted for interview based on information provided in their application

• To be eligible for appointment, successful applicants must comply with career stage and mobility criteria.
