Offer Description
The Group of Psychiatry, Mental Health and Addictions is seeking a PhD student to apply for competitive grants with experience in statistical analysis to work on neurodevelopmental disorders, including attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Neurodevelopmental disorders are highly heritable, comorbid, have substantial diagnostic overlap and share clinical features and genetic etiology. ADHD is one of the most common across lifespan with high functional impact in adults.
The objective of the position is (i) to study clinical trajectories in adults with ADHD (ii) to determine clinical variables associate with treatment response

Main responsibilities and duties:
The PhD Fellow will work under the supervision of Dr. Josep Antoni Ramos-Quiroga head of the Group of Psychiatry, Mental Health and Addictions at the Vall d’Hebron Research Institute and Dr Vanesa Richarte member of this group.
Responsibilities will include statistical analyses of clinical features on ADHD, manuscript writing, and oral presentations at meetings, consortium calls, and scientific conferences. The candidate will also engage in regular collaborative meetings with teams of scientists locally and internationally, including ECNP ADHD network. There will also be training opportunities for new statistical methods and psychological aproaches, aiming to help the candidate to enhance his/her employability.
Requirements
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Degree in psychology.
- Master’s Degree in psychology.
- Good academic qualifications (minimum qualification of 2)
Desired:
- Experience in Statistical analysis.
- Programming skills (particularly R, Unix/ Linux)
Experience and knowledge:

- Good communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English.

Labour conditions:
