Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW, Institute of Environmental Engineering is seeking an employee with degree of M.Sc. in the field of Ecological Engineering or similar with a desire to improve his/ her professional qualifications in the field of plant sciences, geobotany and geoinformation tools. The candidate will be responsible for courses for students of landscape architecture, environmental protection and environmental engineering in the field of geographic information systems using QGIS, engineering graphics using AutoCAD and phytosociology in both Polish and English.

Skills/Qualifications

We are seeking candidates who are characterized by: M.Sc. in ecological engineering; focused on research topics related to ecosystem services, urban ecosystems, invasive species and the application of geoinormation tools for spatial and temporal vegetation analyses. The candidate is expected to prove good spoken and written English skills enabling to write scientific publications, present at scientific conferences and to teach classes; also very good knowledge of Polish language enabling to teach classes, perform social surveys with local stakeholders, analyze documents at local, regional, national level will be essential. The candidate is required to have ability to use the following software: ArcGIS/Q-GIS, AutoCAD, Photoshop; good knowledge of R programming language and ability to use it in statistical analysis and processing satellite data is mandatory. Ability to work in a team; self-dependence and work discipline are required. Experience in teaching in the field of geographic information systems, engineering graphics and phytosociology will be an additional advantage.
