Offer Description
2 Years Junior Post-Doctoral Position in Quantitative and Mixed Methodologies applied to social inequalities at Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, Spain), Department of Social and Political Sciences.
The junior post-doctoral researcher will work in the ERC Starting Grant project INTERMAPS “Mapping Intersectionality: A Conceptual and Methodological Model for the Study of Inequalities and Discriminations” under the supervision of Maria Rodó-Zárate. The position will be based in the Political and Social Sciences Department at Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona) and will be ideally incorporation on January 1st 2023.
Tasks:
- Contribute to the development and validation of a new methodological tool for data collection.
- Contribute to the development of quantitative and mixed methods data analysis on intersectional inequalities.
- Support data collection process.
- Work cooperatively with the PI and any other research team members.
- Engage in all of the research project public activities.

Requirements
Required qualifications for candidate
- PhD in Statistics or in a discipline within Social Sciences.
- Specialization in quantitative approaches and mixed methods.
- Good understanding of feminist and intersectionality epistemological and methodological debates.
- Application of quantitative methods to social research on inequalities.
- Experience in validating surveys.
- Manage multiple activities simultaneously, efficiently and on-time, and be able to meet deadlines.
- Ability to write academic articles.
- Excellent written and spoken language skills in English. Catalan and/or Spanish are desirable.
Additional Information
Salary/duration/benefits/facilities
The candidate will work full-time for a duration of 2 years and starting January 1, 2023, with a gross salary of 33.277 € per year.
The contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish public health and social security system, as well as additional financial support for the participation in project-relevant conferences and scientific meetings.
