The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Beykoz University, Istanbul, Turkey, is seeking to hire full time faculty members in the area of artificial intelligence and data science.

Beykoz University is a foundation-owned private university in Istanbul, Turkey. Established in 2016, it is a young university specializing in a number of areas including engineering and architecture, business and administrative sciences, arts and design, social sciences, and logistics. The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture focuses on areas in information technologies and emphasizes synergy among academic departments with strong intersection among programs. Project-based learning is used extensively in all engineering programs, where all the courses offered have a project component. Furthermore there is project course not only at the senior year but at the fresman, the sophomore, and the junior years as well, where students do a project individually in an interactive manner with supervising faculty. The position is open for all specialization areas in artificial intelligence and data science, including intelligent systems, data science and data analytics, robotics and automation, stochastic systems, intelligent systems and artificial intellience, data science and data analytics, flexible manufacturing, and robotics and industrial automation, natural language processing, image processing and pattern recognition and other application areas of AI.

Candidates must hold a PhD in these areas or in a related field. Academic rank and appointment type will be commensurate with years of experience, accomplishments, and research productivity.

Successful candidates are expected to have the ability to (i)Demonstrate excellence in teaching both at undergaduate and graduate courses, (ii) Conduct high quality research, (iii)collaborating with other faculty to obtain external research funding, (iv)Supervise graduate students in their research, obtaining external funding for their support, (v)Publish in refereed, high impact journals, book chapters and books , and (vi)Represent the university at professional meetings nationally and across the world.
