A landscape interpretation of the historic hydraulic system of Villa La Quiete gardens proposals for active conservation and mise en valeur

The grant includes research on historical, iconographic and archival evidence for a complete exploration, at the landscape scale, of the hydraulic supply system of the water features inside and outside the Villa La Quiete garden. The research activity is aimed at the knowledge and graphic and cartographic restitution of the hydraulic system at the garden scale and its contextualization in the historical landscape system of the Monte Morello side up to the Lepricine source, also in relation to the other existing aqueducts (in particularly that of the Roman period and the Medici one of Valcenni / Castellina). The aim is a range of proposal for a network of thematic itineraries, linked to the hydraulic episodes for the Terzolle valley, and, on a garden scale, a series of interventions for the active conservation and maintenance of devices and historical supply networks and disposal, but also tools for their communication and enhancement.
