“Environmental history and shared use of agro-silvo-pastoral resources: landscape archaeology in European mountains (18th-21st c.)”

The fellowship (up to 3 years) is part of the research project ANTIGONE which investigates the relationship between settlement organisation and transformation in the environmental resources management practices between 18th and 21st c.. Particular attention will be paid to sharing practices, with the aim to investigate the reasons of their differentiated maintenance and its role in population dynamics. The fellow will carry out autonomous investigation of rural and landscape archaeology inside and outside settlements and oral enquiries in selected case studies (in particular Basque country, Sierra Nevada and French Pyrenees). He/She will also carried out comparison research on other European case studies. He/she will manage data base & GIS platforms and elaborate data with an analytical perspective and deep temporality.
