Postgraduate Research Associate / Reference Code 90

The Department of Civil Engineering and Natural Hazards, Institute of Structural Engineering is currently seeking a Postgraduate Research Associate.

Extent of employment:         30 hours per week

Duration of employment:      1st of June 2024, limited to 31st of May 2028

Workplace: Vienna

Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year): B1, € 2.684,10

Responsibilities:

• Supervision of exercises + project work in the field of constructions and engineering structures
• Work on a PhD in the area: Green Infrastructures, Structural Engineering is desired
• Collaborating on administrative tasks for teaching
• Participation in university self-administration

Required skills and qualifications:

• Diploma degree in Civil Engineering or other equivalent university degree
• Language skills: German, English

Desired skills and qualifications:

• Experience as tutor in the supervision of teaching projects: practical experience in civil engineering offices or construction companies
• Didactic skills
• Ability to work in a team and communicate
