The position of an assistant professor at a research and lecturing post at the AGH University of Krakow

Candidate should fulfil requirements specified by Act from 20 July 2018 yr – Law on Higher Education and Science (Dz. U. z 2023 r. poz. 742 z późn. zm.).

1. doctoral degree or equivalent in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering,
2. documented scientific achievements in the field of mechanical engineering (including at least one published in a journal from the JCR list),
3. active participation in international conferences and symposia in the field of mechanical engineering,
4. knowledge of CAD/CAM software, e.g. Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks,
5. knowledge of MATLAB, ANSYS and Python programming languages,
6. experience in research work in the field of mechanical engineering, with particular emphasis on the ability to use numerical methods (FEM, DEM, peridynamics) to analyze material behavior in the elastic-plastic range,
7. additional knowledge in the field of building constitutive models of metallic materials,
8. organizational achievements (e.g. participation in organizing a scientific conference),
9. participation in specialized courses on the latest methods in material modeling,
10. documented completion of Nature Masterclasses in the following areas: Scientific Writing and Publishing, Networking for Researchers, Effective Collaboration in Research,
11. documented fluency in English (spoken and written) at least B2 level,
12. completing a professional internship,
13. completion of the Didactic Improvement Study,
14. teaching achievements.
