Offer Description
Vacancy for assistant professor in the Department of Machine Design and Maintenance, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics, AGH University of Krakow, discipline: Mechanical Engineering.
Conducting classes including the following courses: Strength of Materials, Fundamentals of Theory of Elasticity and Plasticity.
The candidate is expected to pursue scientific development.

Candidate should fulfil requirements specified by Act from 20 July 2018 yr – Law on Higher Education and Science (Dz. U. z 2023 r. poz. 742 z późn. zm.).
- doctoral degree or equivalent in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering,
- documented scientific achievements in the field of mechanical engineering (including at least one published in a journal from the JCR list),
- active participation in international conferences and symposia in the field of mechanical engineering,
- knowledge of CAD/CAM software, e.g. Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks,
- knowledge of MATLAB, ANSYS and Python programming languages,
- experience in research work in the field of mechanical engineering, with particular emphasis on the ability to use numerical methods (FEM, DEM, peridynamics) to analyze material behavior in the elastic-plastic range,
- additional knowledge in the field of building constitutive models of metallic materials,
- organizational achievements (e.g. participation in organizing a scientific conference),
- participation in specialized courses on the latest methods in material modeling,
- documented completion of Nature Masterclasses in the following areas: Scientific Writing and Publishing, Networking for Researchers, Effective Collaboration in Research,
- documented fluency in English (spoken and written) at least B2 level,
- completing a professional internship,
- completion of the Didactic Improvement Study,
- teaching achievements.
