Description:
A candidate for the above-mentioned position should meet the requirements of Art. 113, art. 116 of the Act of July 20, 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742).
A candidate applying for employment should meet the following requirements:
- Have at least a master's degree or other equivalent title,
- Should speak an oriental language at a very good level and a very good knowledge of the Polish language is required to enable conducting teaching classes in these languages,
- The candidate's interests should focus on the issues of East Asia, Central Asia, with particular emphasis on the People's Republic of China,
- Have organizational experience in various types of academic activities, teaching work with students, promoting knowledge about contemporary international relations,
- Have experience in teaching Asian studies, Chinese language and culture at the university level and knowledge of the latest teaching methods and techniques, including distance learning and organizing teaching workshops,
- Have the ability to work in a team.
An additional advantage will be if:
- The candidate will have experience in popularizing science
- The candidate knows the specifics of East Asia and Central Asia, has traveled around this region, is able to organize scientific expeditions with students
The lecturer's responsibilities include, among others:
- Conscientious and careful performance of assigned tasks and compliance with superiors' orders,
- Compliance with applicable legal provisions, in particular the provisions of the Act of July 20, 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742)
In terms of teaching duties:
- conducting teaching classes carried out as part of an employment relationship on an annual basis, including conducting teaching classes using distance learning methods and techniques,
- timely preparation of study documentation for academic teachers
- conducting exams and tests,
- supervising students' final and semester papers,
- developing teaching materials for classes,
- conducting consultations with students on an agreed basis,
- preparing teaching materials for classes, consultations with students,
- improving your own professional qualifications in the field of teaching activities, ensuring high quality of education and compliance of teaching work with the principles of the internal education quality assurance system,
- performing other teaching duties assigned by the direct superior,
In terms of organizational responsibilities:
- working on recruitment committees and examination boards in the university recruitment process,
- organizing promotional and presentation campaigns for the University and participating in them,
- organizing conferences, symposia, seminars and other forms of academic activity,
- performing functions assigned by superiors, including student group supervisor, supervision of scientific clubs and research camps, supervision of students' professional internships,
- other organizational activities aimed at improving the functioning of the University, improving the quality of education and scientific research,
- other organizational duties assigned by the direct superior.
