Offer Description

Responsibilities

A successful candidate combines archaeological research activity with attendance in national and international conferences and publishing findings in reputable publications and journals (indexed in Scopus or Web of Science, MNiSW data base). The candidate is expected to collaborate with national and foreign research institutions and pursuit research projects. Other key responsibilities:

– delivering lectures in prehistoric archaeology,

– continuing academic activities self-development through upgrading qualifications and professional activities.

– participating in departmental and institutional organizational (educational and research) activities,

– promoting the departmental and institutional activities,

– comply with ethical requirements regarding the author’s rights and other related regulations.

The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on higher education and science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) and the following qualification criteria:

1. Master's Degree in archaeology and physics or chemistry.

2. Education and successful experience in working with the archaeological record of the Neolithic, Bronze and Early Iron Age, as well as archaeometallurgy and 

    archaeometry, proven by scientific track record.

3. Areas of expertise include:

   a) prehistoric archaeometallurgy (Neolithic, Bronze Age, and Early Iron Age),

   b) archaeometric data evaluation and interpretation,

   c) prehistoric Metal Ages of Central and Eastern Europe,

   d) management of NCN, NPRH or other research programmes,

   e) lecturer in prehistoric archaeology.

Specific Requirements

4. Proven national and international scientific achievements, including:

   a) authorship or co-authorship of scientific articles in reputable publications and journals (indexed in Scopus or Web of Science),

   b) participation in national (Poland) and international scientific conferences,

   c) collaboration with Polish and foreign specialized laboratories.

Competition procedure:

stage 1: qualification of candidates on the basis of submitted documents,

stage 2: interview with selected candidates.
