Offer Description
PhD student
In this PhD project, we aim to advance the molecular understanding of pathogenic mechanisms in patients with rare or undefined hemostatic disorders. We will tackle this at the system-wide level using PRM-based targeted proteomics, DIA-based global plasma profiling and proteogenomic-based variant analysis. For this highly innovative project, we especially encourage applications of talented researchers with the skills and ambition to integrate clinical and ‘omics’-based profiling data with the ultimate goal to identify and study novel pathogenic mechanism in patients with hemostatic disorders.
Medical Priority Bleeding and Hemostasis
The medical priority Bleeding and Hemostasis is an international frontrunner in applying state-of-the-art mass spectrometry-based proteomics in the area of benign hematology. We are a vibrant, international group of 35-40 colleagues (consisting of group leaders, postdocs, PhD students and technicians) that study the various aspects of hemostatic networks. Our department has academic affiliations with high-ranking universities in the Netherlands, such as Utrecht University and the University of Amsterdam. The department’s research program benefits from excellent research facilities, which include the latest technology for biomolecular mass spectrometry, imaging and cell sorting.
