Offer Description
The employed person will conduct research in the field of exact and natural sciences, in the discipline of physical sciences. Number of available positions: 1.
• Preparation, performance and analysis of simulations using density functional theory in order to obtain, among others: band structure, energy levels of impurities introduced into the basic lattice, point defects and complexes, energy of their formation in gallium oxide, etc.
• Verification of theoretical results during experimental testing of the optical, structural and luminescent properties of the tested systems.
• Research into the possibilities of modifying and improving the properties of the tested materials.
• Dissemination of scientific results at international conferences.
• Preparing scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals in the field of physical sciences.
• Participation in trips to national and European research centers (synchrotrons: XAFS/XPS/RIXS/XES research) and analysis of the results obtained (using the DFT method).
