What to expect:
- In the context of this professorship, you will primarily teach fluid mechanics and computational fluid dynamics. You will also teach foundation courses in the Bachelor's and Master's programmes in Mechanical Engineering.
- You will teach at the sites of the Department of Mechanical Engineering – mainly in German, but also in English, where applicable, supporting the university’s internationalisation strategy in the process.
- You will generally conduct research in an attractive environment; acquire and supervise application-related research projects; and get involved in transfer and continuing education activities.

Skills/Qualifications
Your background:
- Your expertise is based on a degree in mechanical engineering or physics, and a recognised doctorate.
- In addition to this expertise, you also have extensive professional experience in the industrial environment of mechanical engineering – for example in process engineering processes or in the use and generation of renewable energy.
- Your own focus on computational fluid dynamics as well as expertise in the experimental validation of simulation and in innovative flow measurement technology complement your portfolio.
- You are able to present complex interconnections in an understandable way. You also know exactly how to get students excited about fluid mechanics, which you have ideally demonstrated through experience in higher education teaching.
