Graduate Teaching Assistant (must hold a Diploma/Master's degree) for a 20-hour/week (part-time), maternity leave replacement at the Institute of Polymer Chemistry to 10/03/2024

Job Duties:
- Independent research activities in the field of synthesis and characterization of environmentally friendly and sustainable functional polymers for future application in one or more of the following areas: medicine and pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and washing agents, chemical analysis and/or catalysis, data storage
- Participation in adjacent research projects of the institute
- Holding of courses from the institute's curriculum
- Supervision of dissertations in Bachelor and Master programs
- Participation in organizational tasks of the institute
Your Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must hold a diploma or master's degree in chemistry, technical chemistry, polymer chemistry or chemical engineering
- Interest in the synthesis of monomers and polymers
- Willingness to publish your research results in scientific journals
- Very good knowledge of English (level B2), knowledge of German desirable
- Above average commitment and creativity
- Social competence and ability to work in a team

- On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 3,578.80 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
