1 Assistant Professor in Power Electronic Converters, Electrical Machines and Drives - Department of Industrial Engineering

The post is for a six-year period. The annual gross salary is about 47.000 Euros. The area of research and teaching is:
Required research duties: the research activity will be developed within the domains characterizing the academic discipline ING-IND/32 (power electronic converters, electrical machines and drives) with particular reference to the design, control, validation and optimization of electrical and power electronic components and systems for energy conversion from renewable sources and energy efficiency, for example through:
- Design, control and coordination of power electronic converters for interfacing renewable energy sources and energy storage systems, as well as their experimental validation, including Power Hardware-in-the-Loop techniques;
- Analysis, modeling and simulation of electrical and power electronic components and systems required for electrification and energy efficiency processes in microgrids and industrial power grids.
Required teaching duties: the teaching activity, in agreement with the annual teaching schedule, will concern teaching within the academic discipline covered by this call - or within related areas - in courses of study pertaining to the Department of Industrial Engineering. Teaching duties may, in addition, include advanced level teaching (doctoral courses) related to the research activity performed by the contract holder; the teaching duty of the contract holder is defined by the Council of the Department of Industrial Engineering during the planning of teaching activities, according to the specific University regulations.
Foreign language required: excellent level of English;
Knowledge of Italian: not required (the researcher is required to teach in Italian within 3 years from the date of employment);
