Job description:Postdoc (f/m/d) Automated decisions on adaptation need in online-adaptive proton therapy

With cutting-edge research in the fields of ENERGY, HEALTH and MATTER, around 1,500 employees from more than 70 nations at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) are committed to mastering the great challenges facing society today.

The Center for Advanced Systems Understanding (CASUS) is a German-Polish research center for data-intensive digital systems research. CASUS was founded in 2019 in Görlitz and conducts digital interdisciplinary systems research in various fields such as earth systems research, systems biology and materials research.

At the Institute of Radiooncology (OncoRay) scientists specializing in medicine, physics, biology and IT work together to crucially improve the treatment of cancer by administering radiation therapy that is biologically-personalized and technically-optimized.

CASUS is looking for a Postdoc (f/m/d) Automated decisions on adaptation need in online-adaptive proton therapy.

# Development of an automated multi-feature tool chain providing decision support in an online workflow
# Implementation of interactive feature visualization for online and retrospective inquiry and documentation
# Publication of research results (in peer-reviewed journals and at international conferences)

Your profile

# Completed university studies (PhD) in the field of Medical Physics or a related subject and having a strong data science background
# High motivation to work in a collaborative environment between clinic and IT also at different locations
# Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python
# Knowledge in interactive data visualization
