The competitive selection process is open for all individuals, who meet the requirements set out in Articles 113 and 116.4.1) of the 1) Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, and who meet the following eligibility criteria according to § 173 of the Statute of the Jagiellonian University:

• holding a master’s degree, Master of Science degree or an

equivalent degree in the relevant academic discipline;

• being prepared for carrying out teaching work.

A candidate should meet the following requirements:

• modern Chinese as a first language (native speaker of Chinese)

• completed Master's degree in Sinology (sub-speciality: Applied Linguistics or a comparable program in Chinese)

• state certificate confirming professional skills in teaching Chinese as LF

• active and passive knowledge about the traditional and simplified Chinese characters

• knowledge of classical Chinese / experience in teaching classical Chinese

• experience in teaching advanced university students / experience of teaching students in philological program

• experience in teaching advanced level Chinese to adults with Polish as L1

• academic interests in Chinese culture, language acquisition and glottodidactics

• ability to teach different levels of Chinese

• ability and readiness to prepare new teaching materials

• team work skills
