WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our Division of Risk Assessment and Adaptation Strategies Division (RAAS) is looking for a new position of Post-doc researcher, responsible for advancing the deployment of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in the field of climate risk assessment and multi-hazar risk assessment.
Requirements

- Education Level
- PhD or equivalent
- PhD in Computer Science or related field (with preferred specialization in Machine Learning/Deep Learning);
- Documented experience in Machine learning and Deep neural network model design and implementation (using common frameworks as Pytorch, TensorFlow, etc.);
- Proficiency with common programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++);
- Knowledge of (geo)statistics and of geospatial data processing software and tools, including GIS;
- Good communication skills and team working attitude.
- Experience in Machine learning and Deep neural network model application for climate change risk assessment in complex environmental systems;
- Experience in grant proposal preparation at National and/or European level;
- Experience in coaching junior scientists.

Additional Information
The annual salary will depend on qualification and experience.
Belonging to legally protected categories (ex L. 68/99) will constitute a preferential condition.
Some fiscal benefit could be applied for repatriated workers or foreign researchers/professors, having the requirements defined by Dlgs 147/2015 (for repatriates) or Dl 78/2010 (for foreigners).
