Assistant professor (research and teaching)

1. PhD in Management Science.
2. Advanced knowledge in the application of simulation methods in management, in particular discrete simulation.
3. Skills needed to perform simulations in Arena, NetLogo and/or Simio.
4. Scientific achievements in the area of using simulations for decision support – a minimum of 3 articles in the last 5 years in JCR-listed journals, excluding MDPI (www.mdpi.com) journals, or conferences ranked CORE B or higher.
5. Experience in participating as a Principal Investigator or Investigator in research projects and in applying for research grants.
6. Active participation in international scientific conferences.
7. Experience of university lecturing in Polish and in English.
8. Proficiency in Polish and English.

        d)    A list of teaching activities carried out (with an indication of the language of these classes);

        e)    An information on experience in the preparation of teaching materials (textbooks, scripts) and/or laboratory stations, number of promoted graduates, supervision                   of foreign students; 

        f)    A list of academic and teaching awards and honours;

        g)   An information on organisational experience (in terms of organising and managing scientific and teaching activities);

        h)   An information on experience in spreading scientific awareness in society (popular science, technical publications; participation in Science Festival, etc.);  

        i)    An information on the level of proficiency in Polish (in the case of foreigners), English and other languages (certificates);

        j)    Other important achievements.

      6. List of publications:

         a)    A list of scientific publications, divided into articles in JCR-listed journals (with the current IF value), articles in non-JCR-listed journals, books and monographs,                   chapters in books, published conference papers and other publications (indicating output indexed in the Scopus/Web of Science database, having an Impact                       Factor or with a CiteScore);

         b)   The number of citations of the candidate's scientific work (without self-citation) and the H-index, according to the Scopus and/or Web of Science database;

         c)    List of papers and posters at international conferences, workshops and seminars

    10. Declaration of the candidate that in the case of winning the competition, Wrocław University of Science and Technology will be the primary place of employment* (attachment.4)

*If a competition is won by a person who is employed under an employment relationship with another employer conducting the following activities: research, research and teaching, research and development, implementation (except for cases specified in Article 125(3) of the Act), and the employment is not expired by the date of employment at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology as the primary place of work, this person, in accordance with art. 125 sec. 1 of the Act, taking into account art. 125 sec. 2 of the Act, is obliged to obtain the Rector's consent for additional employment under an employment relationship with another employer after employing at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. If the competition is won by a person who conducts business activity, the requirement of art. 125 sec. 7 of the Act should be met.

Applications of persons sending their documents without indicating a specific reference number and sent after the deadline for submission will not be considered.

The date of receipt of the documents is decisive. The date of receipt of application documents is considered to be 3.30 pm on the day indicated in the information about the competition. Receipt of the documents from the candidate will be confirmed by the assistant/HR assistant via e-mail to the address indicated in the application.

Candidates' applications will be evaluated by the Competition Committee appointed by Dean of the Faculty of Management. After the competition procedure is closed, the applications of persons who have not been accepted for work will be returned, provided that they were sent by traditional mail. People interested in having their documents back will be able to pick them up from the assistant/HR assistant within 6 months after the competition procedure is closed, against acknowledgment of receipt.
