Offer Description
- Contribute to establishing the International Research Center for Gender and Performativity and developing an international research network
- Develop and implement international research projects in gender studies/performativity studies
- Conduct research and teach in gender studies/performativity studies
- Organize events and co-design the event series Performing Challenges and Performing Politics
- Collaborate transdisciplinarily within the center’s main areas of research
- Secure external funding
- Contribute to organizational, administrative, and committee tasks, as well as evaluation measures at the mdw and the ICGP
Salary: Starting salary is based on the Collective Agreement for University Staff (Kollektivvertrag für die ArbeitnehmerInnen der Universitäten), falling into the B1/postdoc salary bracket, with a minimum of € 4.752,30 (paid fourteen times annually). Upon finalizing a qualification agreement and meeting qualification criteria, the salary bracket will be converted to A2 for assistant professors (€ 5.595,60) and associate professors (€ 6.055,70).

- Completed Austrian PhD or equivalent degree from a university outside of Austria
- At least two years of international research experience following the completion of the PhD
- Outstanding academic qualifications in the field of gender studies with a research focus specific to the profile of the position
- Excellent track record of publication (in German and English) and in securing external funding
- Demonstrated experience in teaching at higher education institutions and/or universities over several years, with the ability and willingness to teach in English
- Very good command of English
- Potential for outstanding academic achievements in the field of transdisciplinary gender studies, with research focused on the performing arts/performativity studies
- Experience in securing external funding
- Leadership and collaboration experience in academic research
- Ability and willingness to network internationally
- Willingness to participate in university committees
- Ability to work well in a team
