The appointee will join the Faculty of Business (https://www.ln.edu.hk/fb/) and will be expected to conduct research projects and publish outputs with high impact, teach courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and participate in academic and professional activities. In particular, the appointee is expected to apply for external competitive grant, and commit to teaching excellence and active services to the Faculty and the University. Candidates are required to provide evidence of their research records and quality teaching. A proven record in academic leadership and institutional service would be a distinct advantage.

General Requirements

Candidates should have (i) a PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering or a relevant discipline; (ii) a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals and top-tier reputable conferences in the relevant fields; (iii) a good track record in competitive grant applications in the relevant areas; (iv) experience in applying data science techniques in interdisciplinary research like business, education, healthcare, social science and so on; and (v) relevant teaching experience.

Appointment

The conditions of appointments will be competitive. The remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity and incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointee.

Appointment will normally be made on an initial contract of three years, which, subject to review and mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment with possibility of consideration for substantiation.
