The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.
Requirements
- Have knowledge of the Polish language to a degree that allows teaching in this language.
- Have knowledge of the English language at the C2 level.
- Have knowledge of the French language to a degree that allows conducting scientific research in this language (source queries).
- Hold at least a master’s degree in law.
- Conduct research in the field of comparative law and French legal history.
- Demonstrate teaching experience in the field of general history of state and law.
- Having background in history and teaching experience in the area of Roman law and Latin terminology for lawyers will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- In the research area: preparation of research papers in the field of legal history, active participation in academic conferences.
- In the teaching area: teaching (in Polish and English) classes in the courses carried out at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics and assigned to the Institute of the History of State and Law, developing teaching materials.
- In the organizational area: involvement in ongoing organizational work required by the needs of the Institute of the History of State and Law.

- Self-reference containing a description of the candidate's scientific activity, degree of internationalization, organizational activities and teaching activities.
- List of the candidate's publications for a period of not more than 10 years.
- In the case of employment in a research or research and teaching position, electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers representative of his/her scientific achievements or an explanation of their absence.

- A statement in connection with Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018. The Law on Higher Education and Science (download Declaration – Article 113).
