Offer Description

The Department of Economics and Social Sciences, Institute of Production Economics and Logistics is currently seeking a Postgraduate Research Associate.

Extent of employment:              30 hours per week

Duration of employment:           01.08.2024, for the time being until the end of maternity leave (with the option to extend the employment for the duration of parental leave) 

Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year): B1, € 2.684,10

Responsibilities:

  • Support for teaching and research at the institute
  • Simulation-based optimization
  • Planning of assembly lines in prefabricated house industry
  • Production sequencing of assembly lines on the basis of real-time data

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Diploma degree in Wood Technology and Management, Business Studies, Management Science or other equivalent university degree
  • Language skills: English, German

Desired skills and qualifications:

  •      Knowledge of methods of business optimization
  •      Knowledge of prefabricated house construction
  •      Experience with simulation and digital twin of production plants
  •      Didactic skills
