Lecturer with a specified function
part-time (50 %)
At the German Department, Section Descriptive Linguistics, we invite applications for a lecturer with a specified function (Lehrkraft für besondere Auf-gaben) to be filled by October 1st, 2024.
Your tasks:
- Teaching duties (8 hours a week) within German linguistics in all study programs offered at the German Department (B.Ed., M.Ed., B.A., M.A.), including examination
- Supervision of Bachelor’s and Master’s theses
- Assistance with administration of electronic writ-ten exams
- Technical and administrative participation in re-search projects of the Descriptive Linguistics Section and in the organisation of conferences and workshops

Your profile:
Applicants must meet the recruitment requirements stipulated in § 58 in conjunction with § 57 of the Hochschulgesetz of Rhineland-Palatinate.
- A successfully completed scientific university degree (Master) in German/German studies, germanistic linguistics or linguistics with a focus on German
- A doctorate (PhD, Dr. phil.) in German Linguistics or Linguistics with a focus on German
- Post-graduation full-time work experience of at least 2.5 years
- Perennial, pertinent academic teaching experience at university level
- Research interest in semantics and/or pragmatics, documented by publications in these areas is desirable
- Language proficiency in German of at least C1 level, according to CEFR. If German is not the first language, proof must be provided by a recognized certificate
