Offer Description
Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology announces a competition for the position of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in the following employee groups: research field of study Engineering and technology; discipline environmental engineering, mining and energy for the implementation of the project "Development and analysis Al2O3-based matrix for Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell performance improvement and cost efficiency optmization” in the competition within the POSTDOC PW programme edition no. 5 (funded within the „Excellence Initiative – Research University” project implemented at the Warsaw University of Technology) in the Division of Energy Machines and Devices, Institute of Heat Engineering at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology, which shall be the supplementary place of employment as defined by the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science hereinafter referred to as ‘the Law’.
1. Requirements:
- to have completed higher education with a master’s degree or equivalent;
- to have a PhD degree in the discipline of environmental engineering, mining and energy or related disciplines (obtained no earlier than 7 years before employment);
- to have experience in examining materials with complex microstructure using SEM and tomographic analysis;
- to have experience in scientific and research work, including at least one published scientific article;
- to have experience in the energy industry;
- to have experience in conducting research and development projects;
- to have very good command of English.
2.The person applying for the post should satisfy the requirements set forth in the Law on Higher Education and Science and in § 118-121 of the Warsaw University of Technology Statute.
3.Candidates shall submit the following documents:
- a letter of application to the Vice-Rector for General Affairs
- a CV
- Candidate’s Personal Information form
- copy of the diploma of higher education confirming the obtained master’s degree or an equivalent degree
- a certified copy of the PhD diploma
- a list of research and organizational output and achievements
- other documents certifying additional qualifications
- acknowledgement of WUT as a primary place of employment, as defined in the Act of Law on Higher Education and Science
- a declaration on:
- the full capacity to perform acts in law
- enjoying full civil rights
- not being convicted by a valid sentence for an intentional crime or an intentional tax offence
- no disciplinary penalty as defined in Article 276 section 1 items 7 and 8 of the Law on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018 being imposed on them
- fulfilling the condition specified in Article 209 section10 items 2 or 3 of the Law – if applicable
