Requirements
Your personal sphere of influence:
As PhD student in a predoctoral position at the Department of Economic and Social History, you actively participate in research, teaching and administration in the field of Social History of the sixteenth to nineteenth centuries, in the research cluster “Social and Economic Spaces” of the Doctoral School of Historical and Cultural Studies´ and in the editorial support of the management of the journal "Historische Anthropologie". The position is limited to 5 months and should be filled as soon as possible
Your future tasks:
- Holding classes independently for Bachelor, Master and Teachers’ Diploma on the basis of the current wage agreement of the University
- as well as in the editorial support (editing, proofreading) of journal articles and in communication with the authors
- Further academic qualification (dissertation, publications, conference participation, etc.)
- The conclusion of the dissertation agreement is expected within 12 to 18 months.
This is part of your personality:
- Successfully completed Master or Diploma Study in History
- Experience in editing
- The successful candidate is able to assist in communicating research results into the public.
- Awareness of theory and methods
- Proficiency in German and excellent knowledge of English
- Advanced computer skills are desirable
- Ability to work in a team
- Organisational skills

Model 2:
The employment duration is 4 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to 4 years if the employer does not terminate it within the first 12 months by submitting a non-extension declaration.
