The Role
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Solid State Chemistry with a particular emphasis on Modelling of Molecular Materials. The research project is led by Prof Aurora Cruz-Cabeza and seeks to develop modelling tools for Molecular Solid Solutions. The project is funded by EPSRC. The key responsibilities are to implement different modelling algorithms into an automated workflow that allows efficient modelling of Solid Solutions. The successful candidate will be part of a larger group DuMoC2 (Durham Molecular Crystals and Crystallisation) and will have many opportunities to collaborate with experimentalists. The successful candidate will be involved in the supervision of a PhD student during the duration of the position and will have plenty of opportunities for career development.
