Offer Description
Tasks to be performed: The main task will consist in generative advanced visualisations for personalised clinical recommendations, using advanced visual analytics for the interactive exploration of multi-modal data, which is in line with Task 4.1 in WP4 of the GENERALITAAT project.
The duration of these tasks is estimated over a period of 7 months.
Project description: The main goal of this position is to develop software tools to visualize complex data related to left atrial appendage applications, including imaging data and simulation results from computational fluid dynamics simulations. The candidate will be asked to process imaging data from patients, as well as to run the whole modelling pipeline developed in our group to obtain in-silico haemodynamics indices. Then, visualization tools based on visual analytics principles should be developed, in collaboration with clinical and academic partners. Evaluation forms with end-users will be required to assess the usefulness of the developed tools.

Additional Information
Selection criteria: The selection of the candidates will be made through evaluation of the curriculum and, where appropriate, with the carrying out a test and/or interview. Valuation will be as follows:
- Academic Training (0-40 points).
- A research-oriented MSc in Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Computational Science, or related disciplines.
- Other professional training and experience, adequacy to the proposed profile (0-40 points):
- Experience in visual analytics and fluid simulations, especially in cardiology applications, would be of importance.
- Other merits (0-20 points):
- We are looking for a highly motivated junior researcher.
- Candidates must have excellent teamwork and communication skills and be enthusiastic about collaborating with a diverse range of partners. Interest in clinical translation is essential since meetings with clinicians will regularly take place.
The minimum score to pass the selection process is 90 points. The candidate with the highest score in the selection process will be offered the job.
