Offer Description

We are seeking for a highly motivated Postdoc or (Senior) Research Technician who will be hired through the University of Valencia and work in the group of Distinguished Researcher V. Nieves. Field: AI4OCEANS (aiforoceans.org). The position has a special focus on bycatch species identification using machine learning and new data products. The candidate will be expected to conduct original research, present research findings in national or international conferences, and publish in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

  • Experience with observational and satellite ocean/climate data analysis is a plus.

Salary: Commensurate with the University of Valencia's pay scales. This position offers a 1-year employment contract, with the possibility of extension contingent upon a positive evaluation.
