Offer Description
The S. Sakowicz National Inland Fisheries Research Institute is a scientific institution with over 70 years' history, conducting research and implementation work, providing expert opinions and advisory services, as well as carrying out of national and international projects. The Department of Fisheries Bioeconomics identifies and monitors the leading factors determining functioning and development of fishing in Poland.
The employee will be responsible for: carrying out research and development tasks, participating in commercialization of the results/findings (via scientific and expert opinions, or implementations), filing for grants and seeking funding for research, active participation in the Department's and the Institute's organizational matters.

- PhD or equivalent
1) authoring or co-authoring of at least 10 peer-reviewed scientific publications in national and foreign magazines (with IF) or of monographs on fishing, fisheries economy, fish and water resource management;
2) qualification and experience in valuation of fisheries, lakes, fishing ponds and other fishing bodies/facilities;
3) experience in research on fishing, economy, fishing economics;
4) experience in financial analyses of various forms of fish farms;
5) knowledge on basic methods and parameters in analysis of financial and economic state of fish farms;
6) knowledge on methodology of mathematical statistics in studies on fishing economics, aquaculture and its effectiveness;
7) sufficient command of English in the fields of ichthyology, fish economics, aquaculture and angling.
