Doctoral student position in the Division of Materials Physics, Laboratory for Semiconductors, Ruđer Bošković Institute to work on the National Recovery and Resilience Plan - Development Research Grants (NPOO RIP) project "Single photon resolved optoelectrical technology platform for advancing light-driven neural networks – SPOTLIGHT"

In addition to the general criteria for establishing an employment relationship from Article 39, paragraphs 4 and 6 of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- University graduate study or university integrated undergraduate and graduate study in Natural Sciences - field: Physics
- Total grade point average at the previous levels of study (undergraduate and graduate, or integrated study) which ensures admission to a Ph.D. program,
- Active knowledge of the English language, both oral and written
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the characterization of semiconductor diodes using Deep Level Transient Spectroscopy (DLTS) methods.

Employment relationship for the position of Doctoral student is based on a certain period of 5 years.
With an applicant for the position of Doctoral Student (Assistant position) who has already been employed in the position of Doctoral Student (Assistant position) in the Republic of Croatia, the employment can be contracted only on the remaining time of up to five years.
A candidate who has already been employed as an Doctoral Student is required to submit previous contracts for working as an Doctoral Student.
The employment relationship for the position of Doctoral student is based on a trial period of 6 months.
Selected candidates who have achieved their higher qualifications outside Croatia will be required, before the signing of the employment contract, to obtain the Ruling on the Recognition of Foreign Higher Educational Qualifications issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education.
Doctoral Student is required to enroll in a postgraduate university study (doctoral study).
