Graduate Teaching Assistant (must hold a Diploma/Master's degree) for a
20 - 30 hour/week (part-time), Substitute employee at the Institute of Modern and Contemporary History

Job Duties:
- Conduct independent research (pursuant to the department’s area of research)
- Complete a doctoral dissertation in Modern or Contemporary History
- Independently teach university courses
- Engage in the administration of the institute and help in organizing the major Austrian Conference on Contemporary history 2026
Your Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must hold a Diploma/Master’s (or Doctorate/Ph.D.) degree in Modern or Contemporary History
- Fluent language skills in German (level C1) and very good language skills in English (level B2+)

- On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 3,578.80 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
