Graduate Teaching Assistant (must hold a Diploma/Master's degree) for a

20 - 30 hour/week (part-time), Substitute employee at the Institute of Modern and Contemporary History

Job Duties:

  • Conduct independent research (pursuant to the department’s area of research)
  • Complete a doctoral dissertation in Modern or Contemporary History
  • Independently teach university courses
  • Engage in the administration of the institute and help in organizing the major Austrian Conference on Contemporary history 2026

Your Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate must hold a Diploma/Master’s (or Doctorate/Ph.D.) degree in Modern or Contemporary History
  • Fluent language skills in German (level C1) and very good language skills in English (level B2+)
