Duties and Responsibilities

• Work on projects related to determining timescales of magmatic processes by combining in situ microanalysis and diffusion modelling

Requirements

• A Ph.D. degree in Earth Sciences or a related discipline
• Strong background in one or more of the following areas: volatiles in magmatism, diffusion chronometry, in situ microanalysis (especially using secondary ion mass spectrometry)
• an excellent command of written and spoken English
• the ability to work independently and in a team
• self-motivated and responsible

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for 2 years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
