Offer Description

The Department of Psychology at the College of Science, National Taiwan University is inviting applications for faculty positions at all levels in the following areas:

(1) Clinical psychology

(2) Industrial and organizational psychology

(3) Personality/Social psychology

(4) Cognitive/perceptual psychology

(5) Developmental psychology

(6) Quantitative psychology

(7) Psychobiology/Behavioral neuroscience

*Applicants with expertise in clinical psychology or interdisciplinary fields preferred.

The basic annual salary will be a 13.5-month salary (up to 56K USD annually). Outstanding candidates may also apply for various sources of additional stipends on a competitive basis, including but not exclusively the following:

(1) University Stipend for new faculty: additional 12K to 32K USD annually up to three years.

(2) Housing: University has dedicated housing for newly-recruited faculty to apply.

(3) Grant stipend from government: outstanding candidates may also be eligible to apply for special programs of the Ministry of Education and the National Science and Technology Council with extra stipend and grants.

(4) After completion of the above scheme, outstanding faculty can also apply for university stipend under the “flexible salary scheme” on a competitive basis.

The Cost of Living in Taiwan is reasonable and the medical care system is renowned for its high quality and well-covered public health insurance plan.

Applicants (Ph.D. required, Post-doctoral training preferred) should indicate the area(s) applied. This department emphasizes both research and teaching. The appointee will be expected to teach in Mandarin or English at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
