The candidate's activity will be based in Bologna at the CNR-IMM and will include experiments at the Physics Department of the University of Bologna) and long-term visits to the partner laboratory at the Queen Mary Institute in London. Experiments are planned at the Elettra synchrotron radiation facility (Trieste, IT), where the CNR group usually goes twice a year.

The activity will focus on the sustainable synthesis and fabrication of 2D-HP films. Low-cost deposition processes, such as spin-coating and blade-coating, will be optimized to obtain a) controlled film morphology (roughness, grain size, grain boundaries, defects), b) pure phases (really a great challenge for 2D perovskite film while multiple phases are common), c) orientation of the layered structures parallel to the substrate.
