Offer Description
The development of sustainable methods to obtain critical raw materials from primary mineral resources and/or from residues and end-of-life streams is key to the energy transition. We are thus searching for a researcher to strengthen our team towards the direction of hydrometallurgy, mechanochemistry and electrochemistry. The primary research focus of the postdoctoral researcher will be mechanochemically-assisted recycling of lithium-ion batteries. Other responsibilities will be:
- To work on the development of hydrometallurgical processes for primary and secondary raw materials and on the use of mechanochemistry and/or electrochemistry as a process intensification tool.
- To contribute to the (co-)supervision of PhD students and Master students in the group.
- To publish the outcomes of research in top academic journals and conferences.
