SWPS University is a non-public university conducting research and offering practical and academic studies in Warsaw, Wrocław, Sopot, Poznań, Katowice and Kraków. The University's teaching offer includes courses in social sciences, humanities, but also design and graphics.

Skills/Qualifications
  • Academic degree of doctor/doctoral degree or professor in the field of: Social sciences, in the discipline of Social Communication and Media Sciences or related disciplines (as of September 30, 2024 at the latest); Candidate in the final stages of the doctoral programme (degree to be obtained by 30 June 2025 at the latest) will be admitted. In such case, employment will be in an assistantship position until the doctoral degree is obtained;
  • Teaching experience and scientific achievements in the field of Social Communication and Media;
  • Documented scientific achievements;
  • Expertise in media communication;
  • At least three years of teaching experience at a higher education institution;
  • Experience in developing teaching materials and creating new educational programs;
  • Experience in conducting scientific research in the field of Social Communication and Media;
  • Active participation in national and international scientific conferences (experience in organising scientific conferences preferred); 
  • Experience in popularising and commercialising scientific research results;
  • Experience in organizing the teaching process (including implementing new educational programs);
  • Experience in applying scientific knowledge in social or business practice; 
  • Experience in supporting students in developing their entrepreneurship skills;
  • Availability to conduct classes also on weekends;
  • Proficiency in English and Polish language;
  • Very good computer skills and willingness to learn new applications; 
  • Declaration of employment at the SWPS University as the primary place of work.

    • Assistant Professor: PLN 6,300-8,300 gross
    • Associate Professor: PLN 8,800-11,600 gross

Eligibility criteria
  • Scientific achievements - 50% of the final assessment
  • Didactic achievements - 30% of the final assessment
  • Organisational and practical achievements - 20% of the final assessment
Selection process

Required documents:

  • CV with a list of scientific, teaching and organisational achievements (with direct reference to the above mentioned eligibility criteria), as well as a description of other professional experience and interests.
  • A plan for further scientific development (habilitation or professorship) along with a schedule of activities; 
  • A copy of documents certifying the obtained doctoral degree or a statement regarding the planned date of obtaining it.
