Offer Description
Context:
As part of the BatFactory project, the University of Namur is hiring a technician to strengthen the LARN laboratory team dedicated to the deposition of thin layers on powder. The person hired will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the various equipment. He/She will participate in the synthesis and characterization of the coatings. He/She will be trained in vacuum technologies and must quickly become autonomous. He/She evolved in an interdisciplinary environment (physicists, engineers, biophysicists, students, doctoral students, academic staff) and stimulating.

Skills/Qualifications
The candidate must:
• Manage the maintenance of the machine park (preventative maintenance, upkeep, sandblasting), composed of a vacuum deposition chamber, a sample preparation line and analysis equipment (nanoindenter, profilometer, microscope)
• Participate in experimental development linked to vacuum deposition on powder
• Carry out the synthesis of vacuum depositions according to pre-established recipes
• Perform film property analyzes (thickness, morphology)
Specific Requirements
Skills and qualities required:
• Pro-active, spirit of initiative, reliability, adaptability
• Bachelor/Graduate/BTS/Pro License type electromechanic, materials science, automation engineer, vacuum technology or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Experience in managing a machine fleet
• Ability to read plans
• Well organised
• Good command of English
• Stress management
