Offer Description

The SWPS University is a non-public university conducting research and offering practical and academic studies in Warsaw, Wrocław, Sopot, Poznań Katowice and Kraków. The University's teaching offer includes courses in social sciences, humanities, but also design and graphics. 

The University is one of the most active research centres in Poland, and its employees have a practical influence on the development of many scientific disciplines. The results of their research are used in various areas of the economy and social life. The University has over a dozen research units conducting interdisciplinary projects.

The Faculty of Design in Warsaw combines three interdisciplinary study fields: computer science, design (School of Form), and psychology and computer science. Skills/Qualifications
  • PhD degree in Computer Science or related fields - natural and exact sciences or related fields (obtained no later than September 30, 2024);
  • At least 3 years of experience in teaching at a higher education institution (including classes in English); 
  • Experience in actively participating in scientific conferences;
  • Experience in conducting training sessions, workshops, or implementing projects supporting development in education or organisations;
  • Possession of documents confirming participation in training sessions aimed at enhancing teaching competencies;
  • Fluent in Polish language;
  • Proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level;
  • Readiness to conduct classes on weekdays and weekends;
  • Declaration of employment at SWPS University as the primary place of work.
Specific Requirements
  • Conducting teaching activities with the opportunity to develop research activities in collaboration with the interdisciplinary environment of SWPS University and the Department of Design, where programs in Computer Science and Psychology & Computer Science are conducted;
  • Delivering teaching sessions in the field of computer science in one or two areas from the list: cybersecurity, databases, cloud computing, programming, algorithms and data structures, computer networks, computer architecture, computer statistics, artificial intelligence (application of neural networks in data analysis), Big Data, Internet of Things (designing Raspberry Pi, Arduino), at the Department of Design headquarters in Warsaw;
  • Engaging in building relationships with students;
  • Establishing relationships within the University and with the socio-economic environment.
  • Engagement in the organisational activities of the Department and University.
  • Publishing in reputable scientific journals and publications.
  • Acquiring external funding for conducting scientific research.

Eligibility criteria
  • Scientific achievements - 20%​ of the final assessment
  • Teaching achievements - 50% of the final assessment
  • Organisational and practical achievements - 30% of the final assessment

  • CV listing academic, teaching and organisational achievements (with direct reference to the eligibility criteria stated above), and including a description of other professional experience and interests;
  • A cover letter including experience of the skills required by the advertisement;
  • A scan of the document confirming the attainment of the academic degree.
