Offer Description

This position is focused on the development of simulation models for energy systems and individual components as well as the optimization of the operation of such systems in national and European civil and military research projects. The overarching goal of the position is to develop an advanced simulation tool that will be able to calculate energy flows of an energy system and based on the operating characteristics and goal functions optimize component sizing as well as the control strategy.

The position may require collaborating with both national and European research teams to contribute expertise to projects aimed at advancing the operation of energy hubs for both civilian and military applications.

Currently, LICeM is involved in several EU projects dealing with energy systems, such as European Defence Fund (EDF) projects:

- INDY: Energy Independent and Efficient Deployable Military Camps and

- NOMAD: Novel energy storage technologies usable at Military Deployments in forward operating bases.

The job entails:

- Development of simulation models in numerical environments,

- Management of individual tasks within international projects,

- Organization of work and assignment of tasks to colleagues,

- Participation in international meetings within projects,

- Report writing.

If you are interested in the development of modern energy systems in the transition to distributed renewable energy sources in connection with modern technologies of production, storage, and utilization of a wide range of energy carriers, we invite you to join us in the young interdisciplinary team.
