The secretary of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University is issuing a selection procedure to fill a position:
Researcher (also suitable for PhD) Atmospheric Pollutants
Workplace: RECETOX, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University, Brno
Employment: fixed-term with an initial employment contract for 1 year (with the prospect of long-term cooperation), non.academic position
Amount of working time: 1.0 FTE (full-time for 40 hours per week)'

Job Description
Ensure tasks in pursuit of research projects on organic pollutants in air, seawater and soil in the research group of Prof. Gerhard Lammel.
We offer varied work in a friendly international team in a top workplace, flexible working hours. The position is also suitable for people on/after parental leave, graduates or graduating students.
In the case of interest and mutual agreement, it is possible to combine the work with doctoral education and obtaining a PhD degree.
Key duties
- participation in research projects that develop and apply new environmental technologies
- introduction and use of analytical methodologies
- performing laboratory experiments, analysing samples from the environment
- processing of data and results, contribution to preparation of reports and publications
Skills and Qualifications
The applicant must have
- university education (B.Sc./M.Sc./Ing.) in the fields of environmental science, chemistry or physics
- experience working in a laboratory
- English (minimum level B1) as the working language
The applicant should have
- willingness to acquire and actively apply new skills and knowledge
- thoroughness, ability to plan and organize working time
Beneficial to have/know
- experience in analytical chemistry, liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry
