POSITION DESCRIPTION:
CIC energiGUNE is looking for a Laboratory Technician to work in the General Analysis Characterization Unit.
Job functions:
- Sample preparation for different analytical techniques, ensuring all safety guidelines are strictly followed and ensuring process traceability, always maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
- Development and implementation of new analysis methodologies ensuring quality parameters, ensuring the good condition of the equipment.
- Perform routine and non-routine tests and analyses using the appropriate technical equipment and instruments. Perform calibrations in the techniques that require it.
- Ensure compliance with analysis and report deadlines.
- Ensure all the material necessary for fluent work in the different analysis techniques, promoting improvements at laboratory level.

Skills/Qualifications
- Ability to identify and solve technical problems.
- Proactive and committed attitude with high level of initiative, proactivity, and willingness to learn.
- A good team player who can collaborate with other team members.
Specific Requirements
- Bachelor’s in chemistry, chemical engineering or occupational training in Laboratory Techniques, Quality Control or related fields.
- 2-3 years of experience in different analytical techniques, preferably in:
- Gas Chromatography (GC/MS, GC FID/BID)
- Inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP/OES)
- Karl Fischer Analysis and other potentiometric, coulometric and volumetric titrations
- Helium Picnometer
- Particle size análisis by laser diffraction
- The following will be positively assessed:
- CHSNO Elemental Analysis
- Physical adsorption of gas (BET)
- Mercury Porosimeter
- Rheometer
- The following will be positively assessed:
- Good verbal skills in English.
