POSITION DESCRIPTION:

CIC energiGUNE is looking for a Laboratory Technician to work in the General Analysis Characterization Unit.

Job functions:

Sample preparation for different analytical techniques, ensuring all safety guidelines are strictly followed and ensuring process traceability, always maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
Development and implementation of new analysis methodologies ensuring quality parameters, ensuring the good condition of the equipment.
Perform routine and non-routine tests and analyses using the appropriate technical equipment and instruments. Perform calibrations in the techniques that require it.
Ensure compliance with analysis and report deadlines.
Ensure all the material necessary for fluent work in the different analysis techniques, promoting improvements at laboratory level.

Skills/Qualifications

Ability to identify and solve technical problems.
Proactive and committed attitude with high level of initiative, proactivity, and willingness to learn.
A good team player who can collaborate with other team members.

Specific Requirements

Bachelor’s in chemistry, chemical engineering or occupational training in Laboratory Techniques, Quality Control or related fields.
2-3 years of experience in different analytical techniques, preferably in:
- - Gas Chromatography (GC/MS, GC FID/BID)
  - Inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP/OES)
  - Karl Fischer Analysis and other potentiometric, coulometric and volumetric titrations
  - Helium Picnometer
  - Particle size análisis by laser diffraction

- The following will be positively assessed:
  - CHSNO Elemental Analysis
  - Physical adsorption of gas (BET)
  - Mercury Porosimeter
  - Rheometer
Good verbal skills in English.
