Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences – Department of Chemistry
Research fellow (m/f/d) with 65% part-time employment – E 13 TV-L HU (limited to four years)
job description:
- scientific services in research and teaching in the area of physical chemistry, especially in the field of multiphoton microspectroscopy
- work with specific optical setups as well as acquisition and evaluation of spectroscopic data
- preparation of samples
- tasks for own scientific qualification (PhD)
requirements:
- completed university degree with specialization in physical chemistry, biophysics, chemical physics or similar fields, all with experience in experimental work
- solid knowledge in practical optical spectroscopy (Raman, infrared, fluorescence or similar), good theoretical background in vibrational spectroscopy and data interpretation is required
- experience with optical setups (spectrometers, microscopes, lasers) is an advantage
- interest in applications of basic programming (e.g. Python, MatLab, R, C++ or similar) for data evaluation is required
- good command of written and spoken English
- ability to work in a team of international researchers
