The research activity will be oriented towards issues inherent to the study of microbiology with particular regard to bacteriology and microorganism/host relationships; to the study of the main basic microbiological techniques; to the study of the main biochemical methodologies applied to microbiology and cell biology as well as the main molecular methods applied to microbiology.
