Offer Description
The Institute of Physiology, Medical Faculty of the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel (CAU), Germany is offering a Position in marine membrane transport physiology at the earliest possible as
PhD student fellow (m/f/d)
for a period of initially 36 months. The salary of the Ph.D. position is based on the German federal public service scale (E 13 TV-L). The regular weekly working hours amount to 65 % of a full-time position (currently 25.155 hours). The candidate has the opportunity to become a member of the FYORD graduate program at CAU.

- Planning, conducting and analysing experiments based on sea urchin larval cultures
- Carrying out cell physiological studies on calcifying cells of the sea urchin larva and heterologousexpression systems
- Presentation of scientific results at national or international conferences and publication of scientifictexts
- Motivated candidate with a completed scientific university degree (diploma, master's or comparable)in biology, biophysics, biochemistry, or a related subject in the natural and life sciences when signingthe contract.
- high interest in independent scientific work (doctorate)
- The ability to independently organize laboratory work and research of primary literature is aprerequisite.
