Offer Description
The Department of Inorganic Chemistry, Faculty of Science, P.J. Safarik University in Kosice is looking for highly qualified candidates with Master’s degrees to apply for the PhD program. The offer concerns the PhD study in the field of nanoporous materials, preferably mesoporous silica and metal-organic frameworks.
The aim of the PhD thesis will be the synthesis and investigation of nanoporous materials as vehicles for targeted, vectored drug transport and the subsequent release of the drugs.
The engaged candidates are offered 4-year contract, they receive competitive scholarships, and full social security coverage.

Knowledge of synthesis and research of nanoporous materials such as mesoporous silica, MOF.
Knowledge of relevant experimental techniques required for the study: FTIR, UV-VIS, thermal analysis, PXRD, textural characterization of nitrogen adsorption, TEM. SEM, liquid chromatography, XPS.
Previous experience in porous materials research.
